12.1 Ready-to-install contact unit
type LKE 700 / LKE 700 V / 700 T / 700 VT
Ready-to-install panel for installation in test stations, test systems, etc.
Designed for 3–6 standard contact modules.
Suitable for contacting individual cables with tinned ends, wire end ferrules, and flat plug connectors.
Special versions are also available for unstripped cable ends.
The ready-to-install contact unit is equipped with LKV-12 series contact modules with a 15 mm pitch.
The individual components are connected to a terminal block. The unit is completed with a 3 mm compressed air connection.
Dimensions of the contact unit: Cover plate 220 x 220 mm, installation depth 75 mm.
The LKE 700 V version also features a three-way 24 VDC solenoid valve. This allows all contact modules to be opened simultaneously with the test signal “Test completed - test sample OK.“
The LKE 700 T version features a pneumatic central opening button. This allows all contact modules to be opened manually at the same time after the test process has been completed.
The LKE 700 VT version includes a solenoid valve and central opening button. The „Test completed - test sample OK“ signal interrupts the supply to the solenoid valve (24 VDC), thus opening all contact modules. The test sample can be removed. If an error message occurs, the modules remain closed, and the contact is now opened by the central opening button.

Important!
The load capacity of the modules depends on the contact surface, or rather the contact resistance between the clamping piston and the cable. Experience shows that a load of 380V/16A is possible with an appropriate contact surface.
Consequently, needle contacting may only be subjected to very low loads and is generally only suitable for continuity
tests.

Contact modules and units must be used as intended and in accordance with our specifications. Their commissioning
is prohibited until it has been determined that the entire system complies with all safety-relevant regulations.
